prayed that the Ephesians might have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation (1:17) in order that they might know and understand the power which rescued them from sin and alienation in order to make the church. Here he prays that they might experience that power of the Spirit in order that they would be made ‘mighty’ in the inner man. There is a move from head to heart, from understanding to action. The riches of his glory (or his glorious riches, NIV) are the limitless resources which make this possible.
